An internship at Thompson Engineering provides college students the opportunity to gain real-life work experience. Our interns collaborate with employees from various departments, work on meaningful assignments, and interact with clients. Our summer internship program application process opens in late winter. Working in the lab gave me a better understanding of soil properties/behavior and laboratory testing procedures. I enjoyed getting hands-on experience on some of the topics that were covered in class. My experience in the lab helped me excel in my geotechnical course, and vice versa.
