IT Director
As IT Director, Josh Steele is responsible for the operations, special projects, and cyber security of Thompson’s network. He manages a team of technicians supporting employees in nearly 20 branch offices across the Southeast.
Josh’s career began with Thompson in 1999. He worked his way from summer intern to technical support before leaving to join commercial aircraft manufacturer Airbus in 2011. At Airbus, Josh was part of the IT Americas group, and coordinated with IT teams in North America, South America, and Europe to develop processes to improve efficiencies worldwide. He rejoined Thompson Engineering in 2019 as IT Director.
Josh is CompTIA Security+ and ITIL Foundation certified. He is a member of the Atlanta chapter of the Society of Information Management (SIM). He has enjoyed volunteering with Alabama Coastal Cleanup, the Ronald McDonald House, and Habitat for Humanity.
