Director, Chief Legal Officer & Secretary
Chad Brown serves as Chief Legal Officer for Thompson Holdings and its affiliated companies: Thompson Engineering, Watermark Design Group, Thompson Consulting Services, and Meyer Engineers. He is a member of the Thompson Holdings and Thompson Engineering Board of Directors and serves as Corporate Secretary of Thompson Engineering and Thompson Holdings.
As Chief Legal Officer, Chad Brown provides legal guidance in the areas of financing, contracting, project delivery methods, property leases, Employee Stock Ownership Program, and other litigation, business, and transactional matters. He also manages the company’s commercial and professional liability insurance program, and works with employees from a risk management perspective, providing assistance with negotiation, contracts, project execution, and closeout.
Additionally, Chad serves as Chairman of the Thompson Foundation, which was formed in 2003 to provide funding to community organizations in the areas where Thompson employees live and work.
Chad joined Thompson Engineering in 2002. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Birmingham Southern College and he received his law degree from the University Of Alabama School Of Law.
Chad is active in several professional and civic organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of General Contractors and Feeding the Gulf Coast.
