The board of directors of Thompson Holdings has announced that former Dewberry CEO Ron Ewing has joined the board as an independent member. “Ron brings a big-company perspective to our board,” said Chairman and CEO Jimmy Shumock. “Under his leadership, one of the nation’s largest engineering firms experienced tremendous growth and success. We’re looking forward to gaining his advice and counsel.”
Ewing has more than 40 years of experience in the engineering professional services. He retired as CEO of Dewberry in 2010 after eight years with the company. He is a Fellow for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), and also serves on the board of George Mason University Civil Engineering Institute. He currently owns his own consulting practice.
